Description

The Montgomery's Inn was built in 1830 by Thomas and Margaret Montgomery. They later added a ballroom, bar room and another kitchen. The big house served as a meeting place for the local community and provided food and shelter to travellers.

The family also employed Irish famine refugees and emancipated American slaves. Explore the elegant home and feel the history come alive as you experience the time when Irish immigrancy was at its highest in Toronto due to the Potato Famine and Typhus Epidemic.
