Opened in 2005, Diaz Contemporary is directed by Benjamin Diaz who aims to showcase contemporary artists from both Canada and Mexico. The gallery hosts a range of different media such as sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, and media-based work.

It is located in the heart of downtown in a newly renovated post-industrial building. The space is made up of 2 separate galleries that act as a forum for sparking critical dialogue of the international art world on a local level.
