Gallery 44 is a non-profit artist-run centre that is committed to photography. It was founded in 1979 and has a mandate to provide a context for reflection and dialogue on contemporary photography. 

The Gallery offers artists exhibition and publication opportunities, award-winning education programs and affordable production facilities such as dark rooms. They have over 200 members and 45 supporting patrons.
