Established and incorporated in 1979, Mercer Union is an artist-centred platform for contemporary art. They support the creation and development of new and site-specific work, often premiering artists' work from Canada and across the globe. They do this by maintaining an ambitious programming for artists and audiences.

Located in downtown Toronto, they provide a forum for the production and exhibition of Canadian and international contemporary art.
